CCBC Siegen

Today is yet again a beautiful day in Germany. The air really feels like Spring, I even wore my beautiful florel skirt that my grandma gave me to welcome in the cheeful weather.

Just wanted to write a little note about the students and staff that are here at CCBC...
It is such a joy to wake up every day and spend time with all of the people that the Lord has brought to this campus. We are a unique group full of personality and love for one another. I have been so blessed in getting to know each student and staff member and seeing the love that they have for Jesus, which overflows on everyone around. I know its really silly, but I miss them already.

It has been far too long

Well it has been 7 weeks here and Germany. I am amazed at what the Lord has been doing and showing me. Today we saw the sun almost all day long. So beautiful! I have a new understanding of "you dont know what you got til its gone"

I have been learning to trust in the Lord more and more this semester. I have been really encouraged by Psalm 91, knowing that sometimes the Lord puts us in situations too big for us that we may learn to depend on Him more.

I will be going to Paris for the long weekend (the weekend of Easter). Im really looking forward to spending time with my good friend Elisa that i met in Murrieta last semester. There is also an outreach team flying in from Ca. and we (a few friends and I) will be helping the team and the church, Calvary Chapel Paris. Im not sure of all that we will be doing but I will either be going out with the team and telling people about Jesus <3 or helping with the legistics in organizing the outreach. maybe a little of both... :)

Also, there is one week during the semester where groups of students travel to different parts of Europe (well and one trip to Iraq) to go for an outreach, there are no classes or anything this week. This semester I will be going to Hoofdorp, Holland with a group of 5 others. We will be helping the Church, Cross Cultural CC fix up there little "bungalo" ie: new paint, plumbing, gardening etc. Im really looking forward to encouraging the believers there and doing that practical work for the Lord.

This should be longer, I will try to update it asap.

Love and miss you all!

Three weeks later...

Well here I am in Germany, its been about three weeks now, how time flies. I am having a really great time and I am very blessed. Im taking the gospel of John, Biblical Anthropology, Acts, German and Women's Discipleship. The teaching is amazing and the Lord is showing me so much. I have met a lot of amazing friends that Im sure will be for a lifetime :)

We went on a school trip to Eisenoch, where we visited a castle. It was where Martin Luther translated the Bible from Latin to German in 10 weeks.

I work at the school coffee shop :) Coffee is amazing and I love spending time with all my Bible College friends.

Prayer requests:
-wisdom in where the Lord would like me to go on Outreach
-the Lord's help in learning German

i know this for sure

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with You.
Psalm 139:17-18

God loves us and we are planned and wanted by Him.

In Germany...

Well after a long day of traveling, Zach and I made it to Germany Friday morning German time. As far as weather goes it has been quite an adjustment, considering California was like 70 degrees when I left and it was snowing this morning in Siegen. :)

Classes start on Monday, Im excited to start! Oh, last night Zach and I went to his German friends Laura and Davids' engagement party. It was really fun, we were so blessed to go, Zach and I want to spend some more time with them this semester. I met a bunch of people from the Calvary Chapel in Siegen at the party, they were all very sweet and welcoming.

Prayer requests for this week:

-continuing unity with the Bible College students, we have already "bonded" so far :)
-for a heart of compassion, like Jesus

Blessings!

Heading out to Germany <3

Well it's been a while, again, but I plan on keeping this up more while I am in Germany. Oh ya, Im going to Germany with Zach. :) I will be attending the Bible College over there in a city called Siegen it's in the western part of the country. I am very excited for the upcoming semester and all that the Lord has in store. I spent a lot of time praying and seeking the Lord in this decision because I wanted to make sure I was going for the right reasons, and when you do something according to His will things seem to fall into place, not that it is entirely easy but I did see the Lord open the doors. He is good!

I will be leaving this Thursday, the 29. I am going to miss all of my family and friends and all the CCSM youth group (but you guys are friends too) but I will be praying for you all and I am excited to see what you all learn over the next four months. Please email me prayer requests (my email is on this blog), or facebook them to me :)

And to my 11:30 morning prayer partners, I will be praying for you all at 8:30 in the evening! I even have a German phone to set my alarm (praise the Lord, one of my friends gave me a phone)

This break has been really good. I was so blessed to serve in Children's Ministry for the last 3 Sundays (this Sunday we will be wrapping up Jonah 4) Praise the Lord for the book of Jonah, the Lord not only has blessed the lessons by allowing us to get to know His little kids, but I know that I have been taught so much about the Lord's longsuffering, ministry, and being a servant.

Thats all for now...
Psalm 27, Micah 6:8

Prayer Requests:

-My focus would remain on the Lord and my growth in Him
-The Lord would use me to minister to my fellow students, the staff and the lost

Its been too long...

Well so its been a long time since I have updated this...
Over the last month I have seen the power of our Lord move in many ways, of course He was always moving, it was I who failed to recognize the work of His mighty hand. How faithful our God is, even when we are faithless. It amazes me how much He truly loves us and uses us as a vessel of honor sanctified, useful for the master and prepared for every good work.

This is something sweet the Lord showed me last week. Check out Jeremiah 29:11-14. This promise was given to the Israelites right before they went into the captivity of Babylon for 70 years. Im also going to a Nehemiah Bible study on Thurs nights, which in the timeline of Biblical events, is the period of restoration after the children of Israel leave Babylon. The Lord always has amazing plans for His children, to give them a future and a hope. We are placed into the midst of trials for some of own mistakes, the snare of the enemy and well just because we live in a fallen world. However, the Lord allows all of them and whatever the reason of a trial the Lord is and will work it all for the good. To draw us closer to Him, to be more fully equipped for whatever is to come next, for ministering to others, for the furthering of the gospel...the people, as God promised were brought out of captivity and restored to a closer relationship with Him.

Praise the Lord for the last 3 weeks in what has felt like a Babylon. He has taught me so much in my own life that I know required this time and experience to teach it to my thick skull. How great is the unfailing patience of our everlasting all-loving God to weak minded failing frail humans. wow that thought blows my mind.

anyway....theres a peak inside my head, if I would have wrote about a serious look inside my head, that could take all night and I have all my homework left... :)

Hope that you are blessed as we both realize how incredibly our God cares for us.
